Operating nationwide, ILS work with children and adults who have had moderate, through to catastrophic injury, complex disabilities and polytrauma. ILS Case Managers are all qualified health professionals and have many years’ experience working in a wide variety of health and social care settings.
Our case managers are able to coordinate a comprehensive package of care and rehabilitation for a person whose life has been changed by injury. We are committed to helping our clients to maximise their independence and to regain and maintain a more rewarding quality of life; our support covers every aspect of physical, intellectual and emotional wellbeing.
Many of the clients whom we work with have complex care and support needs. Frequently, the client’s family or friends are unable to meet all the care and support needs alone. The Case Manager is able to carefully assess these needs and help identify the right type of carer/support worker for them and work on behalf of the client to recruit them.
If you are recruited by one of our Case Managers to work as a carer or support worker for one of our clients, you will not be employed by ILS. The employer will be one of the following:
· The client
· The client’s parent
· Other family member, e.g. spouse, guardian
· Legal representative sometimes referred to as a ‘legal deputy’
However, the employer can delegate the day to day responsibilities of all employment and recruitment issues to ILS as a company, and if this is the case, it is ILS staff you will deal with regarding employment issues on behalf of your employer.
