Qualified Nursery Nurse
Nurse Seekers are proud to be working on behalf of a quality nursery based near Altrincham. The successful candidate must have a real passion for childcare and is committed to provide high quality child care by ensuring positive relationships are formed with children, parents, carers and the wider community and meeting the needs of all children.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring confidentiality is maintained in the nursery.
- To be part of nursery team in providing a friendly, caring and relaxing environment in order to encourage and develop children in our care.
- Performing staff inductions and helping new staff to fit into the nursery.
- To ensure all daily routines are adhered to.
- To settle in new children and provide on-going support, under a key worker system.
- To attend local authority training to further knowledge and skills.
- The care and supervision of the children regarding their physical, emotional and intellectual needs.
- To plan and prepare individual and group activities to meet children's individual needs in line with EYFS,
- To maintain close, effective, working partnerships with parents/carers to ensure the well-being of their children.
- Offering all children equal opportunities regarding their religious persuasion, racial origins, gender, disabilities, cultural or linguistic background; in particular, challenging situations where racism or discrimination is displayed.
- Keeping of development records and observations.
- Positive management of children's behaviour.
- Preparation, care, cleanliness and maintenance of the nursery rooms and equipment.
Essentials
- Level 2 or 3 or Equivalent in Childcare or above.
- Paediatric First Aid.
- Good knowledge and act in accordance with current legal and statutory frameworks, policies and procedures.
