Area Manager - Supported Living & Domiciliary Care Services


£36K TO £38K Salary Per Annum


We are family-owned care business that delivers Supported Living, Outreach and Domiciliary Care across 3 branches based in Cheshire, North Staffordshire and Nottingham that has been serving the community for nearly 20 years.

Due to the resignation of a much-respected, current Area Manager that has been with the company for 15 years; we are seeking a new appointment to fill this role. We are seeking an experienced individual that has worked their way through the ranks, previously working in a similar role or at least as an experienced Registered Manager.


As this position has been developed over many years, we understand that it will take some time for the new Area Manager to fully understand all the processes and ways of working we have across our services. However, the successful individual is likely to be someone that is a jack of all trades and a master of some who is ‘professionally curious’ and wants to really to get to the bottom of matters and can maintain their sense of humour even when the pressure is on.


We expect our Registered Managers to run their branches/services as if it where their own business and therefore take full ownership. Your role is to support them to achieve their full potential, steer them towards growth and away from non-compliance.


Your Duties Include…

  • Oversight of all branches measuring KPI’s, compliance requirements and recruitment by offering support and guidance to our Registered Managers.
  • To be the direct Line Manager to our Registered Managers and a small team of business administrators supporting them to meet all regulatory and contractual requirements, taking a pragmatic approach to troubleshooting, preferably in advance of issues by utilising your extensive knowledge of the sector.
  • During recruitment drives or any other period that requires it; you can step into the Registered Manager role on a temporary basis and ensure the business continues to function safely.
  • You will have a reasonable grasp of each branch’s business model and be able to liaise with our Finance team and help set staff pay, contribute to service fee reviews and the allocation of budgets within the budgetary limits of the business.
  • Your role will incorporate business development and requires the understanding of the marketplaces we operate in, the gaps in the market that we should explore as potential drivers for growth and the development of key relationships with Commissioning and Social Work teams.
