Registered Nurse – North London

Nurse Seekers are proud to be assisting a reputable hospice based in North London in recruiting a Registered Nurse to join their experienced In-Patient team.

Our client is always striving to improve the quality of life of patients with a potentially life-limiting illness. This is achieved by putting the patients at the heart of everything they do so that the best care and support can be provided for the patients and their families.

Duties of the role:

• Care Provision - Plan, implement and evaluate holistic care provisions

• Supervision – provide a supervisory role to all HCAs and students on each shift.

• Patient records - providing clear and concise handover information to peers and colleagues at shift changeover, updating records as necessary and noting changes and significant moves in patient progress

• Risk management and continuous improvement – including but not limited to carrying out changes to process and practice as directed for continual service enhancement

• Decision Making Responsibility is at specialist level - providing expert advice and skills across the In-Patient Services.

• Infection Control - Maintain the highest standards of infection control

• Health and Safety - Understand individual safety and security responsibilities

• Confidentiality - Maintain patient, personal, and organisational confidentiality at all times.

Personal Specification:

The ideal candidate must have:

• A NMC pin

Candidates must also be able to work as part of an integrated team, be organised with effective communication skills, approachable and empathetic, highly motivated with the ability to motivate others around them.

Previous experience of working with patients with life limiting illnesses and a demonstrable interest in palliative care is desirable, however not essential as full training will be provided.
