Preferably, we are seeking a qualified nursery practitioner (L2 or L3) but we will consider unqualified candidates including candidates seeking an apprenticeship. We are open all year round, excluding bank holidays and the week between Christmas and the New Year. 

Staff generally work a 9 hour shift (eg 9am to 6pm) with an hour for lunch meaning they are paid for 8 hours.

We operate a shift pattern starting from 7.30am and finishing at 6.00pm.

Ideally we are wanting to recruit a full time practitioner for 40 hours a week (5 days) but will also consider candidates wishing to work less days, providing they can work at least 8 hours a day. We do have staff who work less than 5 days but work a 10 hour shift (9 paid hours).

Staff receive 5.6 weeks annual holiday (28 days for someone working 5 days a week), which includes bank holidays and the additional 3 days over the Christmas period. Holiday increases after 3 years of service.

Salary is dependent on age and qualifications, As follows:

Apprentice or young worker aged 16 - 17 years - £6.25 per hour

Unqualified young worker aged 18 - 19 years, not on an apprenticeship - £8.00 - £9.50 per hour

Unqualified aged 20+ years - £10.50 - £11.00 per hour

L2 qualified aged 18 - 19 years - £10.00 - £10.50 per hour

L2 qualified aged 20+ years - £11.15 per hour

L3 qualified aged 18 - 19 years - ££10.75 - £11.25 per hour

L3 qualified aged 20+ years - £11.75 - £12.00 per hour
