The Nurtury is a private family run nursery, looking to recruit highly skilled, motivated, fun and enthusiastic practitioners to join us!

Would you like to work in our incredible, newly refurbished setting? Not only is our nursery kitted out with wonderful resources, but it also has an enchanting outdoor area. It’s not just the children that we grow.

As a private nursery, unlike some chain nurseries, we're not bogged down with red tape. We provide our teams with direct access and the autonomy to be able to obtain their own resources. 

Staff can enjoy breaks in their own staff room, located away from the main building in our tranquil garden, and take the time to relax and unwind from the intensity of their work. You are also welcome to enjoy a free lunch prepared by our very own in-house Chef.

At The Nurtury, we recognise how immersive our careers are within our lives, especially in childcare. Therefore, we always look to support our team with additional benefits and take the time to listen to the feedback from everyone on what is important to them.

We appreciate the energy and intensity required to work in childcare, so to prevent long term burn out, we offer an enhanced annual leave package for those who have been with us for over 12 months, and as an extra thank you, we’ll give you a day off (fully paid) to celebrate your birthday! However, like our children, no two people are the same, and for those who don’t wish to use all their annual leave, we want to provide that little bit of extra flexibility and allow them to sell back up to 5-days annual leave.

We offer a nursery wide bonus incentive related to Ofsted inspections, and in addition to that we have a monthly Rewards & Recognition scheme where all the team can nominate an individual for the monetary value reward! What’s more, we also offer discount services on many of your favourite stores!

But… it’s not all always just about the benefits. Career development is a big part of our vision here at The Nurtury. 

Not only will we provide you with the training and access to platforms you require to carry out your role, but we’ll also regularly meet to check in with how you are getting on. Every member of the team will be given goals to achieve, but also depending on your aspirations, we’ll work with you to develop your professional goals and provide you with a career development plan. All practitioners will meet with the Senior Leadership Team regularly for supervisions and observations to create the right conditions and provide you with a safe environment for you to raise any concerns, no matter how small. Not only that, but as part of your development, you’ll carry out peer to peer observations on your colleagues and share best practice and ideas between the rooms.

If all that is not enough, we are a family here at The Nurtury and often hold social events with parents such as seasonal festivals (e.g Easter egg hunts, graduation ceremonies etc...) with the children, but sometimes we recognise even the parents need a break and we hold child free events (e.g. BBQ's and cheese & wine nights with musicians!) However…we also enjoy to socialise on our own as a family. Often we enjoy social events and let our hair down after periods of hard work, or on a quieter night, we might finish our team meetings with a trip to a local restaurant for those who fancy it. And then of course there are our legendary Christmas parties provided as a huge Thank You! from The Nurtury!
