Due to an increase in our numbers we are looking to recruit 2 level 3 qualified nursey practitioners

The positions are full time a minimum of 30 hours per week with overtime. 20 days plus bank holiday annual leave. 45 minute lunch break.

The successful candidate must have experience of working within a nursery setting, must be enthusiastic and confident in initiating fun activities.


Primary Objective.

To care for the children placed in your care at the nursery


Secondary Objective. To carry out additional tasks as requested by the Manager or room leader to enable the nursery to run smoothly


Main Duties.


To supervise, provide play activities, and care for the children in the nursery (aged 0-8 years) To create an environment that is safe, colorful and stimulating for the children, with adequate resources that cater for the full range of children attending Nursery. To work as part of the team within the nursery, contributing to planning sessions, compiling developmental charts, and keeping all children’s records up to date. To provide for the physical needs of all children, eg feeding, nappy changing, washing and administering first aid To implement and promote equal opportunity policies and practices in all work with children and their parents. To maintain a healthy safe environment for the children ensuring equipment is safe and clean and safe to use


Key Skills:

Relevant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in childcare that is needed for registration purposes or be willing to work towards a qualification Ability, knowledge and skills to work with children aged 0-8. Able to demonstrate excellent communication skills in working with both adults and children.

Patient, reliable, trustworthy, flexible, cheerful with excellent timekeeping and attendance. Knowledge of legislation related to working with the Under 5’s, particularly the 1989 Children’s Act.
