We are a small family friendly nursery that takes great care in getting to know both our children and their families well to ensure we can provide the best possible care.
We are looking for an experienced Practitioner with extensive knowledge of the Curriculum for Excellence and documents surrounding Early Years to work in our busy 3-5 room.
The successful candidate will work alongside a team of both qualified and training staff and will be expected to guide and support staff in training. A friendly and approachable personality is a must to ensure our already strong staff team remains.
The lead in the 3-5s is responsible for ensuring that daily paperwork such as planning and children's PLPs are up to date and reflect children's current interests and learning. This includes all other relevant paperwork.
They will have a key role in ensuring that children have access to high quality play experiences throughout the day and that children are supported in these appropriately.
Organisational skills are essential to ensure the room runs smoothly on a day-to-day basis.
An SVQ 3 in childcare or higher and experience working with children aged 3-5 is essential to be considered for the role. Child protection and First aid are also preferable but not essential as training will be provided.
The successful candidate must be willing to further their professional development and attend training both mandatory and through their own want to ensure their current knowledge stays up to date.

Schedule:
- Our Typical shifts are: a 4 day working week (7.30am-6pm) or a 5 day working week (8.30am-5.30pm). If it suits both parties, we can also offer alternative shifts, which can be discussed at the interview process.
