Little Bunnies Day Nursery is a well-established day nursery that welcomes babies and children from the age of 6 weeks to 5 years old. We ensure a warm and inviting environment to stimulate the children to provide them with the best learning experience.


We are Ofsted registered and all our staff are fully qualified. We continually support our staff by updating their skills, training and qualifications. All staff are DBS checked. Little Bunnies Day Nursery is located on the Hardwick Industrial Estate, allowing easy access in and out of Kings Lynn.


Role:

  • Under the direction and responsible to the Manager and Deputy Manager.
  • Working as part of the whole team, whilst supporting room team members to provide and support the appropriate learning experiences for the children in the settings care. Meeting the parents and children to support their physical, social and emotional needs.
  • Qualifications: A minimum of CACHE Level 3/NVQ 3 Child Care & Education or equivalent. Could be working towards a higher qualification (desirable but not necessary).
  • Experience: At least 3 years-experience working with children in Pre-School.


Team Supervise: -

  • To supervise, mentor and motivate practitioners working under you whilst leading by example to direct them appropriately to ensure they are working appropriately to the expected standard of the setting.
  • Working with the practitioners to complete and support the children’s ‘next steps’ observations and ensuring ‘Blossoms Education’ information is kept up to date during the day.
  • Ensure clear and concise communication between all practitioners whilst delegating, managing and planning is completed. Addressing issues or concerns with the team and reporting directly to the Nursery Manager or Deputy in the absences of the Manager
  • Completing regular Peer Observations and quarterly team supervisions. Delegating tasks between the team and identifying training they would benefit from to support their daily practise.
  • Working with other Senior Room Leaders/Parents to ensure the smooth transition of children starting in Pre-School and understanding their needs and requirements.
  • Supervising and directing apprentices and students working within the room.


Room Responsibilities: -

  • Extensive knowledge of the latest EYFS framework and ensure the delivery of the highest standard of education and care.
  • Working as a team, to ensure the supervision of the children in your care at all times whilst providing an inviting, stimulating, safe and caring educational environment with the resources available.
  • As a Key Worker to a group of children; ensuring the monitoring of key children’s development with regular observations to meet their individual needs and interests by incorporating these into the planning.
  • Ensure you are working towards the development of the children’s physical, social, emotional and intellectual requirement. Supporting each child to meet their individual needs, create positive links with the parents/carers and be knowledgeable in matters relating to the health and safety of each child in the room.
  • Ensure clear and concise communication with parents and children – with any issues or concerns being reported directly to the Nursery Manager or Deputy in the absences of the Manager.
