Nursery Manager
This TERM-TIME only Pre-School is looking to employ a Nursery Manager. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated, empathetic leader for this setting with strong personal ownership and succinct verbal and written communication skills. This outdoor-focused setting believes there is no bad weather, just the wrong clothing!
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all policies, procedures and regulatory requirements are implemented and complied with at all times.
- Experience of delivering staff training to the wider staff team.
- Lead by example in maintaining excellent standards in the presentation of the nursery, ensuring that all cleaning routines are carried out, whilst being reactive to situations as they arise
- Ability to identify and address areas of staff weakness and develop targets to address these.
- Ability to effectively lead and manage a team, including conducting performance management processes e.g. induction, supervision meetings, appraisals and setting objectives.
- Deliver outstanding learning opportunities and exceptional care.
- The ability to work on your own initiative.
- Experience of creating health and safety plans, fire check schedules and knowledge of critical incidence plans and policies
- To keep a high organised standard of the day-to-day management, staffing, organisation and smooth running of the Nursery.
- Ability to ensure that the setting achieves and maintains at least a good Ofsted rating.
- Building relationships with parents, encouraging input of ideas and suggestions, using questionnaires and other communications to support the continuous improvement of the nursery
- Able to see the ‘bigger picture’ and work with committee and staff to secure the future of the preschool.
