Part time - Salary: £13,540.58 Weeks per year: 52 Hours per week: 24.99hrs (8.33hrs per day 40 mins lunch)

Experienced Level 2 or Level 3 in Childcare / equivalent

Your role will be to engage, play, assess and care for the children in your classroom. You will be given key children that you will engage with however your main responsibility is to ensure children are cared for to a high standard.

Main Duties:

• Ø To care for the children in your room and the wider nursery environment at all times
• Ø To assist the Senior room supervisor in the planning and preparation of the daily activities
• Ø To actively encourage children to learn, grow and develop as individuals
• Ø To be a key worker and complete necessary paperwork associated with this including (nappies, food, sleep, activities, communication, cleaning and general health and safety)
• Ø To have a good knowledge of the Early Years Foundation and the birth to five document
• Ø To actively learn and develop as a member of staff through undertaking training, asking questions and giving suggestions at the staff meetings
• Ø To be a team player
• Ø To actively encourage best practice and innovative thinking when preparing and planning and in working practices
• Ø To communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms
• Ø To ensure classroom and nursery policies and procedures are adhered to and are effective
• Ø To safeguard children at all times
• Ø To follow SEN and Safeguarding policy
• Ø To attend a yearly team activity
• Ø To attend all training and staff meetings
• Ø To not undertake any activity inside or outside of the organisation that could damage its reputation or ability to maintain Ofsted registration
• Ø To follow all nursery policies and procedures at all times
• Ø Maintain a professional understanding of the requirements of a nursery practitioner and what it means to be part of this industry.
