Nursery Nurse/Practitioner

Experienced Qualified Early Years practitioner required for busy day nursery in Corby.

Mucky Pups Childcare is a large Day Nursery on the outskirts of Corby, Northamptonshire. We are within easy access from Kettering, Market Harbourough, Uppingham & Oakham. We are on a busy Leisure Park consisting of Gravity, Anytime Fitness Gym, Greggs, Subway , Dominos and Weatherspoons. The Nursery has been sucessfully running for over 10 years and has and has been graded GOOD by Ofsted on each inspection.

Due to a high demand for childcare spaces, we are now seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, passionate, hard working and highly motivated Nursery Nurse/Early years Educator/practitioner to join our team. Applications are invited from committed candidates who are prepared to make a positive contribution to the life and ethos of this inclusive nursery. We are seeking a candidate to join our team on a full time basis, however, we would consider part time of no less than 30 hours per week, but this will consist of working a shift pattern anywhere between 7am and 6pm.

It is essential you:

Have a recognised Early Years qualification with at least 6 months of early years experience.

Have experience working as a key person, carrying out observations and termly assessments.

To maintain high standards throughout the nursery, reading and implementing all policies and procedures at all times.

To ensure daily routines are adhered to and are appropriate to the children’s age and stage of development. To be able to adapt routines when needed.

To have an understanding of EYFS and the Safeguarding and Welfare Requirements

To encourage child development through effective, age appropriate activities and play following the EYFS.

Desirable but not essential:

Food Hygiene certificate

Paediatric First Aid certificate

Safeguarding training

SENCO experience

Job Type: Permanent, all year round. You must be flexible to work between 7am and 6pm to meet the needs of the business. Full time hours are 40 hours per week. We do not offer term time only positions. Please do not apply if you do not have a recognised Early Years qualification or if you are unable to meet the needs of the role. The rate of pay will depend on experience and qualifications.
