With previous experience from the NHS or private care, you can join the multidisciplinary team at Barnet Lane Clinic in Hertfordshire which has a strong emphasis on teamwork, and where you will provide care for service users with mental health illnesses including those diagnosed with a personality disorder.

As a Social Worker you will manage a complex caseload and be responsible for social care assessments, risk assessments, facilitate group activities, and will contribute to ICR meetings, supporting service users to make viable plans for their future.

You will manage internal investigations and liaise with home authorities for service users during their admission and discharging process, while enjoying access to a range of training opportunities that can see your career grow and you achieve your career aspirations.

As a Social Worker you will be:
  • Referring to LADO and Local Authority in line with safeguarding and assessments 
  • Educating Hospital staff about relevant safeguarding matters.
  • Completing a full annual social care reassessment within the CPA format.
  • Facilitating access to welfare rights, housing, advocacy services and associated support services
  • Participating in 1:1 supervision
  • Be the Safeguarding Lead

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Social Work England registration
  • A Social Work degree 
  • Experience within similar environment

Where you will be working:

Location: Barnet Lane, Elstree, Borehamwood, Hertfordshire, WD6 3QU

You’ll be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team at Barnet Lane Clinic, which is a 30-bed rehabilitation service for people with a mental illness including those diagnosed with a personality disorder.

You will work with individuals who may have had placement breakdowns and need intensive review and support to help them move to more independent living, with a focus on supporting people build a better quality of life for themselves and equip them with the skills needed for community living, supportive relationships, and increased independence
