Early Years Childcare Practitioner

We are looking for a qualified childcare practitioner who is innovative/creative and child focused, who takes pride in their work. Can role model excellent practice and loving care towards the children in our nursery. We are a family run company who believes in support and nurturing our community of parents, carers and staff team.

We are a small 56 place nursery in Worthing town centre with access to parks, the museum and beach. We take children out for educational walks regularly and have recently started a beach school, which the children love. Early Years Teacher

Discovery Day Nursery is looking to welcome a passionate Early Years Teacher to join their team of highly qualified and dedicated staff in our town centre nursery. This is a great opportunity for anyone who is looking to progress into management.

You will be asked to deliver outstanding care experiences for all children, which meet their individual needs and supports them as a whole.

The candidate must enjoy singing songs, getting messy and going on walks as well as having a great knowledge of OFSTED guidelines (Statutory and Non-Statutory frameworks) to ensure a high standard of care for every child.


Full time working 5 days per week.

Nursery Manager

We are looking for a friendly, approachable Manager that can coach and mentor our established team to provide outstanding childcare to our community.

We care for up to 56 children daily in our town centre nursery which provides care for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years. We have an experienced dedicated staff team, and we believe in a culture of support and guidance. Our administrator manages the invoicing and finance, which allows you to focus on supporting the team, children, and parents.

We are looking for someone who can inspire their team to create an innovative enabling environment for the children to flourish and thrive in. We have recently set up a beach school for our pre-school children as we are within walking distance to the beach, parks, and museum.


- Working hours - 42.5 per week. Monday - Friday

- Salary upto £37,000 depending on experience and qualifications. with the potential of a bonus package for the right candidate.


Mandatory job requirements


- To be able to do all aspects of the role autonomously

- To be able to do all financial side of the business (invoicing, chasing bad debt, claiming for funding) 

- Minimum one year experience as a manager

· A strong knowledge of the EYFS

· A robust knowledge of safeguarding and SEND

· Experience as a manager

· Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills

· Understanding of all areas of Statutory framework


The job involves:

· Mentoring and coaching your staff team to be outstanding practitioners

· Being responsible for the day to day running of the nursery

· Ensuring compliance with EYFS Framework specifically ratios

· Acting as a Designated Safeguarding Lead

· Working closely alongside parents, building relationships and

· communicating confidently and regularly

· Building relationships with the staff including regular meetings, training,
