We are seeking to recruit an experienced, dedicated and qualified Preschool Room Leader with the necessary interpersonal and organisational skills to lead a team effectively to facilitate children’s learning, understanding and development.
Our preschool room leader will be responsible for all aspects of the day to day running of the room and will take responsibility for the implementation of our child-led curriculum, organising the planning in line with the EYFS Learning and Development requirements, and will provide an interesting and challenging environment in which children excel as they learn, explore and develop.
You will join our really great team with high staff morale, who work really well together to achieve great outcomes for each child in their care, creating a really warm and friendly Nursery.
We have approximately 40 children in the nursery with about 22-24 in the preschool room.
We have the most amazing extensive gardens and have a strong focus on outdoor play and forest schools.
We pride ourselves in providing an excellent service to our families.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate
- A sound knowledge of the EYFS framework, safeguarding and child development.
- A strong passion to deliver high quality child centred care and achieve the best outcomes for each child and family
- The ability to plan, manage and source resources
- Enthusiasm, motivation and a positive disposition
- Effective planning to meet the individual needs of the children
- An ability to work independently, multitask and prioritise tasks in a dynamic environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team, inspiring and motivating others
- The ability to establish positive relationships with outside agencies, colleagues, parents, and the children
- A genuine, welcoming, trustworthy and caring nature
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and willingness to undertake relevant training as required
