We are looking for a Preschool Room Leader for our Pennies at Mark Cross Nursery, the candidates will require at least a Level 3 Childcare qualification and 2 years childcare experience.

 

Mark Cross nursery is in a beautiful countryside setting with a large garden. The nursery can take up to 61 children in total from ages 3 months to 4 years. The preschool room can hold 24 children, and has a strong team of Nursery Practitioners working within it. The forest school approach is used widely within the preschool and the children enjoy the garden during all weathers, having lots of fun is very important.


  1. Job Type: Full-time
  2. Pay: From £13.60 per hour
  3. Expected hours: 37.5 – 40 per week
  4. This is a permanent role working either 4 days totalling 37.5hrs or 40hrs a week.
  5. Or working 5 days a week totalling 40hrs working shifts that cover the opening hours of 7.20am to 18.30pm.
  6. The shift pattern varies from 7.20 to 17.20pm or 8.30am to 18.30pm with a 45 minutes break.
  7. If you live over 20 miles away from the nursery Pennies will pay towards your commute to and from the nursery as part of your contract.

Nursery Practitioner


Duties:

  • Engage and communicate effectively with children in a nurturing and supportive manner.
  • Utilize your experience in early childhood education to create engaging and educational activities.
  • Demonstrate leadership skills to manage and supervise children during daily routines.
  • Provide childcare support with a focus on the well-being and development of each child.
  • Foster a safe and inclusive environment for children to learn and grow.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive approach to childcare practices.
  • Uphold Pennies' standards of excellence in childcare services.


Experience:

  • Previous experience working in a nursery setting is preferred.
  • Proficiency in English language skills for effective communication.
  • Ability to drive engagement and create enriching experiences for children.
  • Knowledge of childcare practices and early childhood development.
  • ?Strong leadership qualities to guide and support children effectively.


Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday


Licence/Certification:

  • Level 2 or Level 3 Childcare qualification (required)


Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Zero hours contract

Pay: £11.70-£12.80 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
