We are looking for a kind, caring, enthusiastic practitioner to join the team here at Global Kids.


To deliver a high standard of learning, development and care for children aged from birth to 5 years. To help ensure that the nursery is a safe environment for children, staff, and others. To develop effective partnerships with parents and to increase their involvement in their child’s development. To be responsible for any tasks delegated by the Nursery Manager and Deputy. In the absence of the room lead you will be required as a senior nursery practitioner to step in and lead a room. This role requires working in collaboration with others and taking responsibility for working in line with regulatory requirements and Global Kid’s procedures.


Pay rate: Between £24k to £25k per year

Days / hours: 40 hours a week, 5 days a week

Qualifications required: Minimum Level 3 childcare

Shift patterns: As per rota - 8-5, 8.30-5.30, 9-6

Staff benefits: Closed on bank holidays, Eid closure days and 1 week Christmas closure.


Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • To provide a safe, caring, stimulating educational environment, both indoors and outdoors, at all times.
  • To deliver an appropriate play-based Birth to 5 matters curriculum that enables children to make individual progress
  • To undertake designated roles as directed.
  • To work with parents and other professionals for the benefit of children and parents.
  • To help ensure the preschool nursery always meets Ofsted requirements.
  • To work with other professionals in the local area for the benefit of children and families.
  • To understand and work to preschool nursery policies and procedures, including how to deal with child protection issues appropriately and how to respond to incidents, accidents, complaints, and emergencies.
  • To plan activities which ensure each child is working towards the early learning outcomes. To effectively fulfil the role of key person.
  • To ensure records are properly maintained, e.g., daily attendance register, accident and incident book, risk assessments, daily children’s activities
  • To undertake any other reasonable duties as directed, in accordance with the preschool aims and objectives in liaison with senior management.
  • To ensure a smooth running on the room at all times
