To provide care and support to people in their own homes, in line with the individual care plan. To deliver services such as: companionship, meal preparation, home-help, personal care, personal hygiene, continence care, assisting with medication. To treat all customers with privacy, dignity and respect. To ensure customer safety. To demonstrate good communication with Acacia Homecare Berkshire management, customers, their families, and others.
Pay/Benefits:
- £12.82ph
- Travel time paid at minimum wage
- Mileage pay - 35p per mile
Must be able to commit to alternate weekends
Operating hours are from 7am - 10pm - shift patterns between those hours
Cover Areas: Reading, Wokingham, Windsor, Maidenhead, Bracknell, Gerrards Cross
Also potential for male in Goring, Reading
Duties and Responsibilities
• Attend Acacia Homecare Berkshire customers in their own homes at times scheduled by Acacia Homecare via the digital management system: Careberry
• Deliver care in accordance with the individual customer Care Plan and Risk Assessment as required including: personal care, medication administration, social and emotional support and other practical support (this list is not exhaustive)
• Assist with hydration and nutrition through monitoring and preparation of meals, drinks, and snacks in accordance with the Care Plan
• Contribute to the ongoing support of people who use our services through providing information to the Registered Care Manager to assist in updating care plans
• Report all changes in the health and social circumstances of people who use our services to the Registered Care Manager, including changes to mobility, medication, environment, health, wellbeing, family / living circumstances (this list is not exhaustive)
• Use the digital care management system: Careberry to complete care notes, MAR, report and to keep up to date with Care Plans, Risk Assessments and other details
• Record all actions and information in a clear, legible and professional manner
• Maintain full confidentiality of customers and services in line with GDPR and data protection
• Work as part of a team with colleagues and work closely with other agencies and professionals involved in the care of people who use our services, for example District Nurses/OT/Physiotherapy
• Undertake all training required to fulfil the role and as appropriate for the individual customer needs as detailed by the Registered Care Manager
• Complete all checks and documentation required by Acacia Homecare Berkshire
• Always Follow the policies and procedures of Acacia Homecare Berkshire
• Attend meetings, supervisions and other scheduled events
• Present a professional image and represent the company in line with the company’s high standards at all times
• Maintain effective communications with the Registered Care Manager, the office, the customers, and their family as appropriate
• Be knowledgeable of the regulator CQC, their standards and assessment framework processes
• Keep up to date with changes and developments in the care sector
• Undertake other reasonable tasks required by management
Our offices are based in Winnersh Triangle and we service all of Reading including surrounding areas such as Wokingham, Windsor, Bracknell and Maidenhead.
