Nurse Seekers are proud to be working on behalf of an ‘OUTSTANDING’ Nursery who are looking to employ a Qualified Senior Nursery Practitioner for their setting based near Northwood. This fantastic Nursery strives to create an inclusive, safe, secure environment in which children have every opportunity to develop to their full potential along with offering a rewarding experience for each individual.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that the Nursery ethos and promise is upheld and maintained throughput the Nursery.
- Help 3rd in charge/Deputy with overall management for the Nursery in the absence of the Manager & Deputy.
- Assist the Manager & Deputy in providing effective day to day management of the Nursery
- To be responsible for any tasks delegated by the manager.
Assist Management in compiling, reviewing and amending policies and procedures for the Nursery
- Assist Management in ensuring that all staff are aware of the policies and procedures and that they are implemented.
- Assist with staff meetings and staff training days, which may possibly fall outside regular work hours.
- Responsible for being informed and up to date with all legal requirements for childcare settings.
- To be responsible for the planning of the curriculum for the children using all relevant government documentation.
To be responsible for ensuring that the planned curriculum is delivered, recorded, evaluated and reviewed.
- Be a Keyperson. Complete all observations, reports and hold meetings with parents as required by the school.
- Responsible for maintaining a Montessori Work Cycle
- Responsible for maintaining the daily routine and ensuring that all staff do likewise.
- Attending seminars, courses and any relevant training.
- Liase and support all parents/carers with any concerns. Filter those concerns to Management. Assist management to investigate and resolve and concerns or complaints.
- To work with and support parents, staff and children with special needs.
- To guide and direct staff in the classroom in the capacity as room leader or Senior in Charge.
- To cover for absence of staff when requested.
- To attend all Parent Forum meetings, Parents evenings, Parent Informative evening, parents social evenings & Nursery Charity events.
