Nursery Nurse
Nurse Seekers are proud to be working on behalf of a Fantastic Nursery who are looking to employ a passionate Level 2 or 3 Qualified Nursery Practitioner for their setting based near Chepstow, Wales. This setting is well established and the successful candidate will need to contribute a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for children placed in the setting.
Key Purposes and Responsibilities
- To keep a proper record of achievement file on key children, for parents/carers.
- Strive to safeguard children by working to the organisation’s safeguarding Code of Conduct.
- Contribute towards an environment which safeguards children at all times.
- To contribute to a planned programme of activities suitable to the age range of children in conjunction with other staff.
- To attend ALL out of working hours activities, e.g. training, monthly staff meetings, parents/carers evenings summer fayre and Christmas party
- To be flexible within working practices of Setting. Be prepared to help where needed, including to undertake certain domestic jobs within the Setting, e.g. preparation of snack meals, cleansing of equipment etc.
- To actively promote and support the safeguarding of children and young people in the workplace, ensuring Setting policies and procedures are observed at all times.
- To develop your role within the team especially as a key worker
- Ensure child is collected by someone known to setting or has a pre agreed password
- Work alongside the manager and staff team to ensure that the children’s needs are being met
Essential Requirements
- Minimum full and relevant Level 2 or 3 Childcare Qualification
- Excellent knowledge of EYFS
- Experience of being a key person
- An understanding of good childcare and early years education
